1 - With one person editing, write up a table of contents.
2 - Individually you will each have to work on one of the following aspects. Using the comment function on the wiki, write who is going to do what. For some of the points, e.g. parallelism, you can divide the work so that each student focuses on what part of the page only.
- guarantee parallelism (e.g. in structure of sections, using tables where possible, etc.)
- make direct comparisons of the two countries/cultures where it is missing
- guarantee the information is factual and not opinionated
- write an introduction
- check the grammar and vocabulary
All of you will be responsible for adding references where they are certainly lacking.
3 - Discuss what could be added to the page to improve it overall.
4 - If you have not already done so, go to the Purdue Writing Lab and read about the differences between quoting, paraphrasing and summarizing. Then go to the page on paraphrasing and try the task.
Once I've got your peers set up, I'm going to come back and we're going to work on something else.
