Peer Feedback

Hello all. Here are your instructions for peer feedback.

1 - Save your drafts with your name_draft. Upload your first drafts to
our old wiki.

2 - Give feedback to two or three of your colleagues on the wiki. You do not need to sign your name - the feedback can be anonymous. Youcan choose which ones but if one draft has already received feedback from 2 or 3 people, please choose to give feedback to one that's awaiting feedback. I decided to do this rather than assign you to each other so that, if you want, you can give anonymous feedback (sometimes people are more honest with anonymity). I also decided it would be too much for you to give feedback to everyone in the class.

3 - Use the following criteria (I have listed the category and the best possible achievement in that category).

Task fulfillment (content):
Very successful and convincing attempt to put forward an opinion. The student has used critical thinking and reflective skills and developed his/her own ideas. At times, if necessary, the opinion is also supported by facts contained in source texts. Captures reader’s attention.

Organisation: cohesion, coherence, paragraphing and punctuation:
Highly cohesive text. Clear and relevant introduction and sentences ordered into a logical sequence. Appropriate use of conjunctions, linking adverbials, paragraphing and punctuation.

Vocabulary: range and accuracy:
Very good range. Few to no errors.

Grammar: range and accuracy:
Very good range. Few to no errors.

I think you have all developed good feedback skills, but I would like to remind you to point out both strong and weak points and specific areas where improvement could be made. You are also welcome to download the file, open it in Word, use the "revisione" option and make changes directly to the text.

4 - Once each student has received feedback from at least two peers I will provide definitive feedback so please respect the deadlines.

N.B. As far as your PLE is concerned, feel free to do it on paper as I have had no confirmation from the technician as to whether or not it is possible to install it on the computers in the lab. If you do it on paper, please just bring it to class for the last lesson.

Hope this helps!

Sarah

I tried to upload my first draft on our wiki, but it didn't worked. The folling message appeared:

"Quota exceeded. martina_draft.doc was not uploaded."

What can I do? Thanks.
