Group B: Martina

Hello everybody!

I took a lot of time to choose a photo that could represent something about myself… just one image is not enough to explain one’s personality! However, after a long research through landscapes and dogs, I finally chose this beautiful photo… coloured flowers. Why did I choose it? Well, just because it reflects my inner personality. In my mind, colours are life, and I love them as I deeply love life.
I am one of those who can appreciate the little things of everyday life… an unexpected smile, a sun-day, the smells of nature.
I really believe that we should be delighted at every day of our staying alive; it is not simple at all, but I try to live following this "philosophy"... and I am happy!

I don’t usually spend a lot of time in internet, because I haven’t the ADSL, so that I cannot visit the most interesting web sites; it would take me a very long time and I have too many things to do in my day! Obviously, the web sites I use daily are those of our university, so… nothing new for anyone of you! :-) You have to know that I have a dream, that is to make a great journey with my university friends, before this our exciting adventure at university comes to an end. So, searching for ideas for our travel, I have found these two amazing web sites; I suggest you to have a look at them.
The first one is http://www.inter-rail.it/ : there you can find very useful information about how an inter-rail travel works and also a detailed list of suggestions about travelling in the various countries.
Then, if you like Scotland, then you should visit http://www.visitscotland.com/it/ . It is the official site of Scotland's National Tourist Board, where you can find extremely useful information about visiting Scotland: accomodation offers, holidays ideas, etc. There is also an interactive map showing Scottish regions and cities, and where you can discover more about a Scottish particular area.
Finally, I often visit http://www.disinformazione.it/ , a web site for those who want to see the "two sides of the coin", that is for those who want to go beyond the official version of the facts. It is a way to keep your mind opened, in order to live as aware men!
I look forward to see you soon!
Bye!
Martina

Hello Martina,
how are you? I enjoyed reading your post and I firmly believe that your "philosophy" is the magical formula everybody should know to live in peace with the world. Too often people are busy doing their things faster and faster without even remembering where they are running; too often they are dissatisfied with their lives and can't realize that happiness is just round the corner, they only have to learn to see it. You are one of those persons who can welcome anything life can offer and are thankful just for being here, don't stop doing it!
I'm also glad to see that you chose to suggest two websites that we have recently visited together, I really hope that our dream will come true: Scotland, we are coming!
Love from
Elena

Hi Martina! Your life philosophy should be follow by everyone in the world. Sometimes we are so busy in stupid things that we forget to notice all the simple and beautiful things around us. I think that we should take life more easily and smile a little more...the world would be a better place!
I hope you will be able to start the adventure you are planning with your friends, it is the best way to travel!

Hi Martina!
I completly share your philosophy and I always try to follow it, even if it is not easy at all. Like you, I can appreciate a smile, a beautiful day or a walk in the woods in autumn, with all its smells. But one of the things i most like is the smile and the joy of my "lupetti". It is amazing to see how they are able to be happy just for a game, a song or a walk and I'm convinced that I have to learn a lot from them.
Bye!

Hi Martina! Your words definetly reveal your attitude towards life! I really have the impression you enjoy life, even in its "humblest" aspects..which is not easy at all, at least not for everyone! To tell the truth, even if I'm an optimistic person, I sometimes forget how lucky I am..probably because I demand so much from myself! I think your words just came at the right moment "tickling" my sensitivity and giving me some fresh air of optimism! As for your websites, I have just had a look at the one on "alternative news", which I found particularly interesting: I agree whith you, if you want to see reality as it is, you need to find out an alternative way to get informed on it,and you should be ready to see "the other side of the coin"..
See you soon on this blog! Marta

Dear Martina,
I also found it difficult to find a picture that could properly summarize my personality. As you will probably have seen, I finally chose the picture of a piano, mainly because music plays an important role in my life. Of course, however, I have a lot of different interests: I like travelling, reading, drawing, singing, but I also enjoy chatting with friends, going to the cinema etc. The fact is that while it is important to have interests, passions and aspirations, we are sometimes so busy with all these that we forget the simplest, but most important things. A smile, a kiss, a gentle caress are sometimes more rewarding than anything else in the world. But unfortunately, I think we only realize this when for one reason or another we find ourselves going through a difficult period. Only then, indeed, do we realize, that many things we used to value are not as important as we thought they were and only then do we start appreciating the little things in life!
